The XT1 LT46 has been a reliable and capable mower for three mowing seasons. The Kohler engine is dependable and the cut quality is consistently good. My ongoing complaint is the deck wash port — the connection is undersized and the hose fitting doesn't create a good seal, making the deck cleaning process less effective than it should be. The deck build up requires more manual scraping than it should. The mowing performance itself is excellent. Minor design issue on an otherwise good machine.
The Cub Cadet XT1 LT46 is a comfortable and capable riding mower with a smooth hydrostatic transmission and a well-designed seat. My issue was a noticeably uneven cut on the first few uses — one side of the 46-inch deck cut about a quarter inch lower than the other. Adjusted the deck leveling per the manual and it corrected it. Should be set correctly from the factory on a new mower. Once leveled properly the cut quality is excellent. Good mower overall with a first-day adjustment requirement.
