Three full mowing seasons with the XT1 LT50 and it has been mechanically reliable throughout. The Kohler engine is dependable and the 50-inch deck efficiency is a genuine time-saver on my 3-acre property. My ongoing complaint is the deck wash port — the hose connection doesn't seal well and the water flow isn't strong enough to clean the full deck effectively. Grass buildup under the deck requires periodic manual scraping. The mowing performance is excellent. Minor design flaw on an otherwise good machine.
The Cub Cadet XT1 LT50 Enduro Series is the best large-property residential riding mower I have ever owned. The 50-inch fabricated deck delivers a clean, professional-quality cut across my 3-acre property in about 65 minutes. The Kohler engine starts reliably in all conditions and runs smoothly through every session. The hydrostatic transmission is smooth and precise on all terrain. The seat is comfortable for extended mowing. Three full seasons of trouble-free operation. Outstanding mower.
Upgrading from a 46-inch to the LT50's 50-inch deck made a noticeable difference on my 3-acre property — I save about 20 minutes per mowing session. The cut quality is excellent, the Kohler engine is reliable, and the hydrostatic transmission is smooth and comfortable. The operator's seat handles my 90-minute sessions without fatigue. Minor dock for the initial deck leveling adjustment needed but the mower has been excellent since. Highly recommend for properties over 2.5 acres.
The XT1 LT50 arrived requiring partial assembly and the instructions could be clearer. The steering wheel installation diagram was particularly ambiguous and the battery connection sequence wasn't clearly explained. Once assembled correctly — with some help from a YouTube video — the mower has performed well. Kohler engine starts reliably, the 50-inch deck cuts cleanly, and the hydrostatic transmission is smooth. Good mower overall with setup documentation that needs revision.
Five months of regular use on my 3-acre property and the XT1 LT50 has been a reliable and capable machine. The Kohler engine is excellent, the 50-inch deck is efficient, and the hydrostatic transmission is smooth. My note is the seat armrests — the plastic feels noticeably cheaper than the rest of the mower's construction. One cracked after about two months of regular vibration. Purely a comfort item but it should last longer. The mechanical performance of the mower is excellent.
